Meet Jacob Treadwell
Founder & Lead Consultant
Jacob founded Air Theory to raise the standard of mechanical design in high-performance buildings — from award-winning residential architecture to schools, social housing, and commercial projects that demand more from their systems.
With a background spanning hands-on installation, detailed design consultancy, and full system commissioning, Jacob brings a rare combination of technical depth and design awareness. He understands how buildings are put together and how mechanical systems need to fit within them — not just on paper, but on site.
His belief is straightforward: comfort, air quality, and energy performance are not optional extras. They are the measure of whether a building truly works. Jacob is also a Certified Passive House Consultant — available to bring that expertise to projects where it’s needed.
